Licensed services are easy to recognize once you know what to check. They publish apps in the official stores for phones, TVs and streaming devices, name the company behind them, and post clear terms and privacy policies. They never make you click through a chain of pop-ups or install an extra “codec” or extension first.
Timing is a giveaway too. Movies normally reach streaming or rental weeks to months after their run in theaters, so a free site showing last weekend’s premiere is almost certainly pirated.
